Andersen sterilizers take your infection control to the next level. Our sterilizers are the perfect complement to your autoclave – protecting expensive instruments and scopes while keeping your clinic’s infection control nimble and well-fortified. They play a vital role in infection prevention in over 7,500 practices worldwide. Our sterilizers are Economical, Compatible, Easy to Operate, Gentle, Efficient, Effective and environmentally friendly.

The Anprolene system boasts the lowest cost to purchase and cost per cycle on the market. All Andersen systems are competitively priced.

Delicate instruments such as flexible endoscopes and surgical drills are difficult to sterilize and costly to replace. Protect your investment with damage-free, low-temperature sterilization that uses no steam injection or deep vacuum – reducing the need for expensive repairs.

Many practices see a return on investment in a few months or even a few weeks! video

Pro tips:

  • When only a portion of gauze, a drape or suture material is needed, smaller sections can be pre-cut, wrapped, and sterilized. After sterilization, the unused portions will stay sterile on the shelf for up to six months, ready for future use.
  • Materials that fall on the floor don’t automatically need to be thrown away. With an Andersen sterilizer, they can be sterilized and used. Save money and the planet!

Andersen sterilizers are highly compatible with a wide range of materials, including:

  • Plastic
  • Electronics
  • Metal
  • Fabric
  • Paper
    & More

Materials and devices that can’t be sterilized in an autoclave or would degrade over time, can be sterilized, safety and effectively without causing damage.

Unparalleled compatibility

Andersen sterilizers are designed for easy integration into any practice. Installation is simple, requiring only a dedicated electrical outlet and an exhaust line.

FREE operator training is provided for the life of your sterilizer! Staff can be certified through online, phone and video conferencing appointments.

Ease of use consistently ranks as one of the top benefits mentioned by Andersen customers. The streamline touchscreen interface makes operation easy.

Andersen systems sterilize and aerate in the same chamber. Once items are sterilized, they remain sterile until ready for use. Pathogens are effectively eliminated inside the sterilization bag, and the contents stay protected for up to six months — delivering a simple, reliable, and efficient solution.

Ethylene oxide is the most gentle sterilization method on the market! It uses:

  • No high heat
  • No steam
  • No oxidation
  • No deep vacuum
  • No corrosion

Reduce your practice’s costs of maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement, while minimizing downtime from sending devices out for service or repairs.

“We found that EO was safer to use on our mechanical instruments – such as drills, saws – because it doesn’t have the same corrosive properties that steam autoclave does. We found that we’re not sending them out (for repair) as frequently. We were sending out TPLO saws with steam autoclave every quarter – now we’re sending them out, maybe, once a year.”

Achieve so much with so little! AN75 and EOGas 4 use just 17.6 grams of EO to achieve terminal sterilization. Their space-saving tabletop design allow them to be placed just about anywhere.

“AN75 holds about five times what we can in a typical Midmark autoclave. Staff can run it before they leave work and they come in the next day and it’s done.”

Ethylene oxide (EO) is one of the most effective sterilants on the planet. The sterilization industry acknowledges there is no way to prove 100% sterility, 100% of the time. So, instead, it speaks in terms of probability.

EO is rated at 10-6 Sterility Assurance Level (SAL). That indicates a 1 in 1,000,000 likelihood of an organism surviving to the end of the sterilization process. 10-6 SAL is the lowest probability – the one required for the most invasive medical devices.

EO is the only sterilant the FDA recommends as a countermeasure to CRE and other “superbugs” on tough-to-sterilize flexible endoscopes. Superbugs: Strains of bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi that are resistant to most of the antibiotics and other medications commonly used to treat the infections they cause. Also known as multidrug-resistant organisms.

EO kills well-known superbugs like Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE), E. coli, C. diff and MRSA. In fact, it kills all microbes up to and including the very hardest to kill: bacterial spores. We use bacterial spores to indicate the sterility of each cycle with our recommended accessory – biological indicators (BIs).

Andersen uses only 100% ethylene oxide – never any mixes with CFCs or HCFCs. EO is not classified as a greenhouse gas as it dissipates quickly in the atmosphere.

Using the sterilizer keeps items that might otherwise be thrown away out of landfills (such as suture material or bandages that hit the floor).

This year, Andersen has won two environmental awards from federal agencies for its innovative technology that enables the use of a micro-dose of 100% ethylene oxide as an effective and efficient sterilant.

“Environmental stewardship has been part of our DNA from the company’s founding. As an American manufacturer whose medical devices are used all over the world, we are very proud to have our technology and commitment to the environment recognized.”
