Product Lifecycle Policy


The guaranteed Useful Life of an Andersen sterilization system is 10 years from the date of the original invoice. 

With continued use and with annual field service maintenance, the Useful Life (10 years) of a sterilizer can transition to Mature Life (up to 15 years). Product lifecycle phases include:

Useful Life (up to 10 years)
Mature Life (10-15 years)
No Longer Serviceable (15+ years)

Andersen only supports sterilizers, including the selling of gas and accessories, purchased directly through Andersen Sterilizers, Inc., or an authorized distributor through Useful Life (up to 10 years) or Mature Life if the certified Field Service Program is purchased. For more information on the program, please refer to the chart above, column two, Basic Annual Maintenance.

Annual maintenance is recommended to ensure your sterilizer stays in peak condition and remains compliant — some facilities opt for semi-annual plans based on internal protocols or regulatory needs.

You can schedule a visit by submitting a service request form or contacting our support team directly; we’ll coordinate a convenient time and make sure the right technician is assigned to your unit.

Each visit includes inspection, performance verification, calibration, part checks, and a service report — comprehensive plans also include emergency support and pre/post-visit check-ins.

Yes — our team also services Andersen abators to ensure your entire system, including emission control, continues to operate safely and efficiently.
